Belas knap long barrow, a place i go to think. 4500 years old situated on top on a killer hill next to beautiful cleeve common.

The mound itself is 55 metres long and 18 wide at its widest point

The mound was restored in the 1930's after being 'excavated' in the 19th century. the bodies of over 50 people have been discovered interned here... meaning this was an important place.

The best day i remember having here was the first time i took Connor. He valiantly climbed the hill despite being only two and a bit. Crawled all over the

mound and refused to come out of one of the open chambers.

thats my little pagan!! when ever we come here we always leave something for the ancestors just to say thanks for letting us picnic in their special place!!
